Celebrating World Opera Day (25th October), which just happened to be Bizet’s birthday, here is Charlotte singing Habenera, just before taking the title role in the Royal Academy Opera production of Carmen. See upcoming for other events.

Introducing Charlotte Clapperton, Mezzo-Soprano

Charlotte Clapperton is a member of the Royal Academy Opera (RAO). Her awards include both first prize and song prize at the prestigious 2025 Richard Lewis-Jean Shanks Award. Charlotte has a varied repertoire of both opera and oratorio, classics and contemporary. She has covered in the Royal Opera House production of Larmes de Couteau/Full Moon in March.

Charlotte recently very much enjoyed a highly successful run playing the title role in the RAO production of Carmen.
